Welcome To Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the world’s most renowned wildlife reserves. Covering around 14,750 square kilometers, it is famous for its stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and incredible wildlife. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Serengeti offers visitors an unparalleled safari experience, bringing them face-to-face with the natural wonders of Africa.

The Great Migration

The Great Migration is one of the most extraordinary wildlife events in the Serengeti. Every year, millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles embark on a long journey across the plains in search of fresh grass. Along the way, they face constant threats from predators such as lions, cheetahs, and crocodiles, making the migration a dramatic and dangerous spectacle. The best time to witness this awe-inspiring event is from July to October.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

  • The Serengeti offers excellent wildlife viewing year-round. However, the best times to visit depend on what you want to see:
  • December to March: Calving season, a great time to see newborns and predator activity.
  • April to June: The start of the migration as herds move north.
  • July to October: Peak migration season, especially around the Mara River crossings.
  • November: The short rains bring the migration back to the Serengeti.
